Inspiring an enthusiasm for learning

IKC programs follow the school calendar for Prince William County Public Schools (PWCS).  We will be closed on holidays as observed by PWCS as well as follow all emergency procedures put forth by PWCS.  Please download the PWCS school year calendar      (2024-25).       Also, watch for PWCS School Messenger notifications for delays and closings and for emergency announcement information.  We will be open on all Teacher Professional Development Workdays and Conference days within PWCS's official first and last day of the school year. Please see the IKC 2024-2025 calendar        for these designated days and our Dates and Times policy rate sheet for extended day care policies.

Processing Fee 

A non-refundable registration fee of $50.00 is required for each family’s enrollment.  This fee is added to your account once enrollment is approved. There are no other administrative charges throughout the school year.

Non-Refundable Deposit 

A $50 deposit is required for each Preschool child to confirm registration.

A $100 deposit is required for each Before/After Care child to confirm registration. This deposit is non-refundable and is applied to your child’s first month’s child care fee.

Child Safety

​

  • Our staff is well trained in safety practices, and our lead staff is certified and trained in CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, and EpiPen procedures.  IKC has obtained approval by the state of Virginia as a religiously exempt organization.  All Fire and Health Inspections, student/staff ratios, staff health, and background screenings meet and exceed all code requirements.

  • IKC is equipped with a new state-of-the-art security access control system. All entrance doors will be locked and only authorized individuals will have the ability to access the center.   

  • Children will be checked in and out of the IKC by their parents/guardians via the Brightwheel application (easily downloaded on your personal cell phone).  

  • Open Door policy for parents and guardians / We will be following recommended health guidelines and updating the access policy as needed.
